For everyone who loves a good design challenge — we've just brought every active and past design contest from Printables and MakerWorld together into one place: 3dsearch.net/contests.
No more jumping between platforms to track what's running, who's winning, and what's coming next. It's all there, in one searchable, filterable feed.
What's inside
We indexed 245 design contests with over 42,700 submitted models and identified 198 winners across both platforms. Every contest page shows:
- 🏆 Top-3 placements with gold, silver, and bronze medals
- 📅 Start and end dates, days remaining countdown
- 🎁 Full prize breakdown — cash, points, hardware, exposure
- 🎨 All submitted models in one grid, with their source clearly tagged
- 🤖 "No AI allowed" badge for contests that disqualify AI-generated work
- 🔗 Direct link to enter on the original platform
Filter by platform
On the contests overview page, you can filter between all sources, only Printables, or only MakerWorld with a single click. Active contests are pulled to the top so you never miss a deadline, and past contests are paginated below — perfect for digging through inspiration and seeing what won.
Why we built this
Design contests are one of the best ways to discover talented creators and fresh ideas in the 3D printing community — but until now there was no central place to track them. Printables and MakerWorld both run great competitions, but they live in separate silos. We wanted to fix that.
It's also a perfect onramp for new makers: the winning entries from completed contests are often genuinely brilliant designs, and now you can browse them all on a single page without an account.
How to find it
Three ways:
- 📱 On mobile: the new 🏆 Contests tab in the bottom navigation
- 🖥️ On desktop: the Contests link in the sidebar, right under "All Sources"
- 🌐 Or go directly to 3dsearch.net/contests
What's next
Contests update automatically every few hours — when a winner is announced on Printables or MakerWorld, it shows up here too. We're also keeping an eye on adding Cults3D and MyMiniFactory contests once we figure out the cleanest way to pull them in.
If you spot a contest that's missing or something off in the data, let us know on Discord or via the contact form.
Happy making — and good luck if you're entering one!
