Add a way to black list stolen copy

Mejora Rechazado Charles B 01.05.2026
3DSearch is great. It just helped me find someone who stole one of my models. They showed up side by side in your search engine results! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6857632 was stolen by someone here: https://www.makeronline.com/en/model/MKS-Servo--C-closed-loop-stepper-motor-electronic-board-protection-cover/131002.html The person copied it and republished it under a different name just two weeks after I published the original. Is there a way for me to file a complaint so you stop referring to that model/person?. You only need to verify the original publication date to confirm it. You should add some kind of complain mechanism (black list) for this, since your tool will highlight this more and more.

Thank you so much for letting us know — and glad 3DSEARCH helped you spot this! Since we're a search engine and don't host any models ourselves, the best course of action is to file a DMCA takedown or copyright complaint directly with MakerOnline. They're the ones who can actually remove the infringing model from their platform. Once it's removed there, it will automatically disappear from our search results on the next sync. Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Contact MakerOnline directly and report the stolen model with proof of your original publication date 2. If Thingiverse shows your upload date clearly, include a link as evidence We're also considering adding a report/flag feature to make it easier to flag issues like this in the future. Thanks for the suggestion — it's a great idea and we've added it to our roadmap. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with!
