Bulbasaur is a quadrupedal Pokémon resembling a toad. Its skin is blue-green with dark green patches, featuring red eyes and black pupils. The ears atop its head have black inner ears, and a pair of slightly elongated fangs protrude from its upper jaw. Seeds on Bulbasaur's back have grown into pink flower buds. Four banana-leaf-like green leaves sprout from the base of these buds, spreading out in a cross pattern toward its head, back, and both sides of its body. The longer Bulbasaur basks in sunlight, the more power surges through its body, causing the buds on its back to gradually grow. The buds develop on its back, continuously absorbing nutrients. It is said that when the buds on its back absorb enough nutrients and begin to swell, they emit a sweet fragrance—a sign that the large flower is about to bloom. Its waist and legs grow stronger to support the buds. If it remains motionless under the sun for an extended period, it indicates the large flower is nearing full bloom. Once the buds on its back have fully grown, it seems unable to stand upright on its two legs anymore.
