The Filacleaner is designed to remove any impurities (dust, etc) before the filament reaches the extruder. For the filter, I cut out a piece
of foam from a cheap foam brush I bought from Hobby Lobby.
This comes in two (2) pieces- one is the body of the unit, and the other is the top. The "Top" is a loose fit on the base to allow for easy
access to the filter.
Unlike other designs which are spring loaded, the FilaCleaner uses the walls of itself to press the filter against the filament to ensure
reliable filtering of the filament.
This FilaCleaner was made with FreeCad.
