About a year ago at a party, a coworker heard about 3D printing for the first time and asked me if it would be able to print a replacement for the broken arm of his ping pong table (which holds up the net). I said of course it could do that, and then procrastinated for over a year getting around to designing and printing it for him.
At first I was just going to print an L shape with the holes in the right place, but I eventually decided I might as well model it to closely match the original.
