I created a video tutorial for work that goes through modeling a pumpkin in SolidWorks. (Can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3rIIRU3xVNNI6ohsigGtRC9paG5qQwfG).
The pumpkin was modeled in 3 parts - the main body, the top, and the stem. This allowed the stem to be printed separately in a different color. I used a little superglue attach it to the top.
