Wood Turners Bowl Gouge Gauge

This is a dept settign gauge designed to get the same reproducable grind angle on wood lathe bowl gouges. Whatever system you use (I have the Sorby system) getting the same grind angle is important and will increast not only the sharpness of the tool but will extend the tool life by wasting much less high speed steel. Mount this on your bench, place your bowl gouge in the desired angle slog and slide the mounting bracket up to the edge and tighten. The angles are specific to the sorby system
