"Judge Dredd's Lawgiver handgun from the 2012 film DREDD 3D is a revised version of the Lawgiver II. A small LED display screen on the side of the gun gives the user information as to the amount and type of ammunition available as well as determine distance to target. The gun uses a variety of types of ammunition, which are voice activated. It has three fire modes: Semi (Semi-Auto), Rapid Fire (Full-Auto), and Silenced (Semi-Auto). Like in the comic, the gun is tagged to the DNA of its wielder, and will explode if not handled by a registered Judge."
