Hey there !
Well, it helps the filament to get into the extruder aligned, preventing (or attempting to) warping in the feeding hole and grinding or snapping it off the grinder and making a unholy mess (ive been through that ... :( )
Im new to 3d printing and this is my first project sharing, however, if this is just a waste of filament please let me know hehehe :)
