Solid Spiral Chess Set

I decided to fill in the spiral portion in order to accommodate the addition of a bolt in each piece. This adds a nice weight and heft to each piece. I used a 3/8 x 1-1/2" hex bolt in all but the pawns. For them I used a 1/4 x 1".

The holes are snug enough that I had to use a socket wrench to get the bolts in.
