My Y axis stepper motor shaft sheared off after less than a year of printing. The stock mount height results in the stepper pulley raised up about midway on the shaft, creating a relatively large bending load on the shaft. This could lead to a failure such as I had.
This new mount design raises the Stepper motor about 3.5mm resulting in the pulley being just a paper thickness above the stepper body itself, reducing this bending load on the shaft to a minimum. Otherwise it is exactly as stock
