Verdun sock knitting machine cast-on basket base

This disc will be threaded with 36 identical loops that will hang off the needles of an early 20th century hand-cranked sock knitting machine. It should speed casting on with the machine, as well as provide a sturdy base for weights. The center hole will have a loop to hook on weights.
