Use the `sides` parameter to specify the connector type
The value should be a string of six ones or zeros. Each one or zero indicate whether or not there is an opening on a particular side.

Examples:

Full 3d cross
sides = 111111

I connector (along the x-axis)
sides = 110000

L connector
sides = 100001
