Going to make John Moran's (Gadgetbuilder) tangential AXA tool holder. Needed a way to set the block in the milling vise on a compound 12° angle, so I figured PLA would probably be rigid enough to hold the steel till the vise jaws clamped down good. Beats tapping the piece with a hammer and trying to get it dialed in. Small adjustments can probably still be made like this even with the blocks underneath though, depending on perfect you want the angle. In use the plastic blocks will go in the vise with the vee running from fixed jaw to movable jaw, then the vise itself is rotated to 12° to give the compound angle for the tool bit slot.

Plans can be found on www.gadgetbuilder.com on the "Tangential toolholder" page.
