Valence clip for wood blinds

I have some wood blinds that have valences that are held up with flimsy plastic clips. At a certain point, one of the clips snapped which caused the other to snap when the valence came down.

The following clip might not be suitable for your blinds, but it could be a good starting point to create your own clip. The attachment point on the back of the wood valence has a 1" span.
