Rifle Rest for Tripod

My dad wanted a way to use a photo tripod as a rifle rest, so I designed and printed this. I was in a big hurry, so the holes are undersized and not threaded. Since I own a tap & die set, and lots of drill bits, it was faster for me to use the 1/4"x20 tap after the fact than to try to figure out how to create threads.
