3" Dust collector hose adapter for Craftsman Random Orbit Sander

This adapter will slide on the dust chute of a Craftsman Professional Sander and allow the attachment of a 3" flex dust collector hose via a hose clamp. I've considered drilling and tapping two holes on the flange part to insert screws that will hold the adapter on if it begins to fall off.
