Laser pen holder for vinyl contour cutter

I have a cheap vinyl cutter that has a laser dot which is supposed to enable me to line up prints for contour cutting. The dot is offset from the actual cutting head by about 20mm, so it's really difficult to line up the cutter with the registration marks on the sheet. Some cutting software allows you to input that offset, but mine doesn't.
