12GA Shell Roll Crimper

My prototype Roll Crimper for 12ga shotgun shells.

I've seen some pictures of crimpers with up to 4 pins. So why not make it even better with 6 pins.

Pins are arranged in opposite pairs, one set is horizontal. the other slopes up and the other set slopes down. This guides the hull into a nice curve. Are all the pins necessary? can they all be horizontal? good questions that you can help answer post your results and help make this better. 8 pins?


2mm holes are included as guides, drill holes to accommodate the pins at hand. I used 2.39mm pins that I had laying around.

Experiment by adding and removing pins.

Use it with drill press or hand drill, apply a bit of lube (Vaseline) and roll crimp away,
