This star is ca 27cm in diameter. It consists of 12 cones, and 2 half spheres.

The cones should be printed in vase mode, with 0.6mm line width (using a 0.4mm nozzle). Set nr. of bottom layers to 0, so that the bottom remains open. For better adhesion you may want to add 1mm of brim on the outside.

There are two versions of the cones, one for printing in PLA (or PETG), the other for printing with TPU. The TPU one has a stronger snap, exployting the flexibilty of the material. The PLA version has 3 creases to make the rim snap easier.

If the TPU version snap is too strong, stretch the bottom of the cone with your fingers before snapping.
If the PLA version snap is too strong, put it in warm (or hot) water.
If the snaps are lose, apply glue (or tune your printing :-) ).

The center is a ball of with 12 rings, onto which the cones snap. Print two dome pieces. Hold or glue them together, when snapping on the first 4 cones around the equator. This connects the sphere.
