Broken

Inspired by the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, I created “Broken” using Solidworks. A translucent PLA medium demonstrates not only the grey and cold setting of the novel, but also the personality of Mrs. Havisham. The word “broken” cut into the model symbolizes the hole in one's heart when a significant other leaves them. The positioning of the word shows that when the heart breaks, neither half is left unscathed.
