Bar support for agility jump obstacle

We have a Border Collie at home and we are beginning to train it in some obstacles. My wife bought a wonderful book that teaches how to build them with PVC pipe (3/4" to be exact).
Everything could be build with the pipes and some standard "T"s and elbows, except the support for the jump bars. That required some intricate sawing of the "T"s and the result was not great.
My wife had some experience jumping with horses and she knew very well how the supports for the jump bars were made.
