I am one of those romantics who thinks he was robbed of something magnificent when airships went out of service in the late 1930s after the Hindenburg exploded.

Think about it. Until then, the Graf Zeppelin made 590 trips, over 1 million miles, many of which were from Europe to South America, and very safely.
