Ammonoidea Clock - Continuous Clock - Linear Clock

I've seen this great clock at the Roues Libres exhibition during Designers’ Days 2014 in Paris (Designer Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto - BCXSY [1]) and I was thinking: I have to built my own personal version of this fascinating clock. I first built the clock in wood (more than 0.5 m in height) but it was to heavy for a cheap clockwork.
