140th NY Monument Bronze - Little Round Top - Gettysburg

Patrick Henry "Paddy" O'Rorke or O'Rourke was an Irish-American immigrant who became a colonel in the Union Army during the American Civil War and was killed at the Battle of Gettysburg.

The monument to the 140th NYSV at Gettysburg sits where they fought against Hood's Division, near the crest of Little Round Top. The bronze medalion in the center of the monument depicts Colonel O'Rourke near the spot where he was mortally wounded while leading his men.
