The gimbal doesn't provide a way to fit a gopro in there. This thing is an adapter. There is a top and a bottom part.
The normal version (shown in orange) puts the camera in the center of the gimbal, the shifted version (shown in black) puts it closer to the center of gravity. This will make it easier for the motors to level it.
I only tested this with a Gopro Hero 3 Silver. Make sure you use a camera with the same size.
