*Temperance* represents a delicate balance between the many contradictions we all carry within ourselves and try to keep in harmony every day.

The marble frame symbolizes this sense of structure and support — the golden middle, the balance that holds both sides together. The water represents the bright and clear aspect: the peaceful, calm, and centered side of the self.

The lava, in contrast, embodies the wild, impulsive, and untamed force within us — the darker side that is no less a part of who we are. Together, these elements show that true temperance is not the absence of extremes, but the ability to hold them, understand them, and bring them into balance.
