To qoute George Lucas - "I may of gone too far in a few places."
It has been at least 15 years since I have built a diorama like this. My plan for it changed multiple times leading to a lot not making it into the final piece to keep it from being too busy. I had used blacklight paint on a diorama before and enjoyed the effect and thought it would work good here. They weren't the best quality so I tried to create texture with them. So many mishaps, completely lost the fully painted monster head leading to me making the tentacle one! Plus this is only my the 4th time using an airbrush. But here it is!
Most of the paint is a mix of Army Painter and Vallejo with blacklight/ UV paint by FolkArt
Some materials used- AK Interactive radioactive water epoxy resin, 5 LEDs, xps foam ( a first for me), Woodland Scenics Water Effects, Liquitex gloss gel medium, Apoxie Sculpt, Tamiya Weathering Master H for the face and skin, and my favorite expanding foam for the geo-biological features.
