This vignette always appealed to me because you only very rarely find models of people just having fun and being cheerful. The contest gave me an excellent reason to actually get to work.
The ladies themselves were painted with W&N oils, their clothes, equipment and the base with a mixture of just about any model paint you can think of. I deliberately did very little light and shadow work; at this scale you get the real thing, so there's no need to simulate it in paint. I figured Inithia would want to get noticed, and so would have bright colours with loads of contrast, while Enika should be just the opposite, but without turning her completely drab. Each currency in the pile of loot has it's own distinct 'gold' or 'silver' metallic, to give the loot some life.
