3D Print of Youth Eternal

Youth Eternal explores the Romanian folklore surrounding the Strigoi through a restrained, aristocratic interpretation rather than the familiar Gothic vampire aesthetic. During research, I found that traditional Romanian clothing favoured light fabrics with distinctive blue embroidered motifs, making the modern black-and-red vampire palette feel culturally out of place. Instead, I combined authentic Romanian-inspired embroidery with deep burgundy, aged gold and ivory to bridge historical dress and supernatural nobility. The surrounding shrine, offerings and fallen victim frame the Strigoi as an object of reverence and fear, while the composition keeps the vampire queen as the clear focal point. The project was an exercise in balancing historical inspiration with fantasy, using freehand ornamentation and colour choices to create a vampire that feels rooted in Romanian tradition rather than contemporary vampire conventions.
