Tie Rod Tension Clip

Just recently started 3d printing and still working out the kinks on my Micromake kit. I saw this tip of using rubber bands to tension the rods for less movement and then i thought why not just make a clip instead so it can look a lot neater. Unfortunately while the clip does tighten the rods, in use it doesn't stay in place.
