This is a printable model of the gun turrets found on the Des Moines class of heavy cruisers. These cruisers were the first to mount the Mark 16 autoloading 8" 55 caliber naval guns, which were capable of increased accuracy and output in excess of 10 shots per minute per barrel, in total delivering freedom at a pace of more than 90 8" shells per minute. This model is also capable of being printed as mounts for R/C replicas or Displays.
