GoPro LCD protection for Hovership Exopro

I broke my LCD with the exopro. I started to wonder if there is a way to protect the LCD.
Here is an idea but I can't not tell if this will help or not. I do think it can help distribute the energy of the impact around the LCD.

The problem is that if you use this and you break your LCD, you will say "it does not work"
BUT you could of broken your LCD in your previous crash without this LCD cover.
