My Geetech Prusa i3 came with an aluminium block that the y axis belt had to be attached to by drilling a couple of holes in the belt and screwing a bolt through the belt into the block. I was never happy with the design as it always seemed to pull the belt slightly to one side and too high and adjusting the tension was impossible.
When the Y axis tensioner/bearing seized I decided to get a better quality bearing and, with it, a better quality belt and didn't want to have the same tensioning
