The Infinite Bender Series Problem

In an episode of Futurama Bender makes copies of himself with an increasingly smaller mass and The Professor worries that the Benders will take over the earth. In this activity students look at the formula given in the television show and come up with a more realistic equation to model the situation. They will design some robots and use the geometric series sum formula to show that the Bender copies converge.
