Handle Adapters for Aweful '80's Round Taps

The house I'm currently renting has horrible round taps from the 1980's, but since it's not my place I'm stuck with them. I have no idea why anyone ever thought round taps were a good idea, especially in a kitchen. If you've got chicken-covered hands you have no choice but to contaminate the entire sink with chicken juice, unlike modern lever taps where you can use your wrist to bump the water on.
