The True Tamper

No matter how meticulously I tried, I occasionally ended up with uneven tamps using a traditional tamper.

There are plenty of new wave tampers on the market right now that combat this problem but they create another one, a hole in my wallet...

I set out to make a simple tamper that insured even, or "true" tamps each and every time. In addition I wanted stepless depth adjustment that was able to be changed on the fly without any additional tools.

This design is what I ended up with.
