Garage Shield

The Garage Shield attached to the lifting arm of an automatic garage door opener. It compliments Thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1765850 when used together. The Shield deflects a wire hook used by a person trying to actuate the Emergency Release Lever from outside your garage.

The Shield is held in place by a #10 X 1" long machine screw (or 4mm X 25mm), washer, and nut. (I used a nyloc nut to keep from loosening over time.) Tighten the hardware enough to squeeze the tabs on the liftin
