This part was inspired by the Raspberry Pi Cat Laser Toy 2.0 by Tony D. He reluctantly glued his laser mount to pan/tilt. This mount provides a snap in holder for the laser diode and the pan/tilt device.
I drilled and tapped the hole under the laser diode for a 3 mm screw. Insert a nylon screw of a length such that head is flush with bottom of mount just as the threaded end begins to touch the laser diode.
