1911/2011 Mag Catch Button

Extended mag catch buttons for 1911/2011 style of pistols. Holes are sized to accommodate a #4 screw.

The normal button is flat at the underside and can be used on mag catch of different sizes. The reinforced button has extra materials underneath to reduce flex when pressed at the tip. Both the round button and the reinforced button fits a 7mm mag catch. Some sanding may be required to have enough clearance underneath to release the magazine.

For the reinforced button, it is recommended to print upside down. If the part that contacts the mag catch is not flat or there is roughness at the underside, the button can be installed with some tilt and there won't be enough space to press the mag catch fully to release the magazine. I found it is best to print the underside up, with support and some sanding afterward. The regular button should just be printed upright as the underside is flat.
