Customizable cell phone charging stand

I wanted a stand which would let me see my phone at night while it was charging, groping around when the alarm went off was annoying. I designed a custom stand for my phone, and wanted to do the same for my wife's. I hit upon the idea of not depending as little on the phone dimensions as possible (only width is used), but solely depending on the charging cord.

This stand holds the end of the charging coord (presumably some version of USB). It's customizable for different sizes of plug end,
