This articulated model is not intended to be a faithful copy of the original Robby from Forbidden Planet, the 1956 American science fiction film from MGM. Rather, it is designed as a whimsical tribute to the sci-fi designs of Robert Kinoshita and MGM art director A. Arnold “Buddy” Gillespie.
