The 1byOne wireless driveway alert doorbell utilizes infrared sensors that are bright white, which is a bit too conspicuous for my tastes. To help hide their bright plastic and bright indicator lights, I have been using this housing for a number of years now.
I have mounted my sensors in varying locations and at varying angles by first mounting a piece of wood that I have cut at the appropriate angle - and then attaching the housing with wood screws through the 2 countersunk holes in the plastic housing.
It is advisable to add a couple layers of tape over the LED indicator lights and also fabricate a pull tab out of tape to assist in pulling the sensor from the housing when changing out batteries.
