1st gen Ram map light conversion

1st Gen Dodge truck Map light Conversion! Bolts into the factory location for the under dash map light on a 1st gen Dodge Ram trucks and RamChargers. It uses LEDs and a switch I got at superbrightleds, links and part numbers below.

For the first ball mount version, the ball is 0.865” dia. for use with the QuadLock phone mount parts I used as pictured. The less expensive car version of their wireless changing head requires a ball adapter for use with the double jointed mount, file included. The 2nd version of the mount has a 1” ball for other generic phone mounts, and a 3rd is a dual LED version with no phone mount location for those who just need more light.

The hole into the bottom of the ball mount is for a #6 1" screw to stiffen/support the ball post. I didn't install one on my first and had the post break off after a few thousand miles. The post out the bottom of the ball is to hold the mount up since 1993 leaf springs don't ride like a cloud, haha.
