Updated your laptop with SSD? Don't throw the HDD, make an external storage from it.
Requires a SATA-to-USB cable (~2$ in online shop), 6 of 6mm length 3mm diameter bolts and 4 nuts.
In general, no glue is needed, but might be added for better durability.
