A 2 Axis Rotary Table
Suitable for development into a 5 Axis 3D printer, this 2 Axis Rotary Table is pretty stiff. After multiple iterations, the issue of bearing stiffness was solved. This depends on pre-loading the bearings and using large diameter bearings.
It is a mix of US Standard and Metric screws and bolts. But, I picked bolts which were nearly identical to metric sizes. 5/16" screws/bolts are nearly identical to 8mm ones.
It uses NEMA 11 stepper motors.
I used Thing 16627 - Parmetric Pulley - lots of tooth profiles [ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16627 ] for pulleys.
I used Thing 2682637 - Parametric Pulley Belt by Vivalize [ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2682637 ] for belts.
Developed using Blender.
Can be printed on printer bed as small as 160mm X 150mm.
Provides a 4 inch diameter circular build platform.
Print belt in TPU.
Small screw holes are 4-40 and 6-32. Tap threads into plastic.
