It was not very handy to use to dry filament because the spool sits its side, and was weird to put it in and out and I could only dry one spool at a time, which was not very energy efficient. So I took out the electronics from the dehydrator and designed a box from scratch. This is a fully functional 2 spool food dehydrator with a 250W motor (in my case it's 250W, but there are food dehydrators ranging from 150W to 450W).
