I have made these to be an all in one solution for painting 28mm scale models. More specifically Warhammer 40K by GW.

There is a number of different mounting options available for the models. Plastic base insert types can be pushed in the slot. Other models that use a 3mm pin can also be pushed straight into the stand. The standard base size fits perfectly on top and can be held on with blu-tack or tape
