Bakelizer (Bakelite) 1st Synthetic Plastic Invented

This is a very stylized model of the Bakelizer (Leo Baekeland - inventor of synthetic plastic) that was used in his lab to create bakelite in 1907-1909. I am using it to educate middle school kids in 3D printing and what better place to start than - where did the 1st synthetic plastic begin. The model is in 3 pieces for ease of print but the top and bottom halves could be printed together. The flywheel is also separate. It prints really pretty well but is still in progress.
