This tube allows you to keep a light centered in a photographic umbrella. This goes into the end of a piece of speedrail tubing, I.D. 25.50mm, and allows a center shaft,O.D. 17.20mm, to stay centered in the umbrella.
There is also a tab cut out to lock the center shaft in place when positioning the light.
I have since just drilled a hole in the adapter. I was concerned that the locking screw would mare the center shaft. The center shaft fits pretty tight so it shouldn't damage the rod.
